Let's Chocolaat Chocolate

Have you tried chocolate from Peru and Ecuador?

At Let’s Chocolaat, we work with artisanal chocolates made from some of the world’s most prestigious cocoa varieties, particularly those from Ecuador and Peru, two countries internationally renowned for their cocoa.

🇪🇨 Chocolate from Ecuador

Ecuador is the world's leading producer of fine-aroma cocoa, a premium category in the world of chocolate.

The two varieties you need to know about:

  • "Sabor Arriba" cacao, the country's signature variety, has a cacao flavor with floral, fruity, and nutty notes.
  • The CCN51 variety is also grown in the country; it has an intense aroma and was developed in the mid-20th century to be more resistant to pests that can affect the cacao tree.

🇵🇪 Chocolate from Peru

Peru is known for having more than half of the world's cocoa varieties, but of all of them, we'd like to highlight two:

  • Chuncho cacao (also known as Cusco). An ancient variety, cultivated since the time of the Incas. It has a floral aftertaste and fruity notes of mango and banana.
  • The Porcelana variety (also known as Piura or Blanco) has a completely white bean. It is very creamy and has citrus notes in its flavor.
