How to store chocolate correctly

It is important to store chocolate in optimal conditions. That is why today we will explain some tips that will help you preserve this food better.

  1. The most important thing is that the chocolate is not subjected to sudden changes in temperature. If it is stored at a low temperature, it is likely to lose its aroma, whereas if it is stored at a high temperature, its texture and appearance may change.
  2. The ideal temperature for storing chocolate is at room temperature, i.e. between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius. 15 and 19 degrees, as would be the case in a pantry, away from sunlight and humidity.
  3. It is very common to store chocolate in the refrigerator. If this is the case, it should be placed on the upper shelves and keep in mind that it is advisable to take the chocolate out 15 minutes before eating it.
  4. Another important factor that many people are unaware of is that chocolate absorbs odors from its surroundings. That is why it is recommended to keep it away from strong-smelling products such as cheese, cold cuts, onions, etc.

Now that you know these tips, don't hesitate to apply them to enjoy perfectly preserved chocolate.
